Jim Howe campaigns The Gaurdian, a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro built in Crossville, Tennessee for Street Outlaws and No Prep Kings. The car is the flagship of Howe Motorsports, the family team Howe runs with his wife Amanda Howe and their son Jimmy Howe.

The Gaurdian was built as a no-prep car: steel 1967 Camaro 6.00 cert chassis, room for a 17×36 rear tire, and a blown Hemi program Howe assembles and tunes himself. It replaced The Warden, the Limited Drag Radial Camaro Howe raced to the 2019 world championship before the team committed to No Prep Kings.  2026*****A new Gaurdian is currently in the works to compete in PRO MOD and Jimmy will be taking the wheel of the WARDEN in small tire and back to its roots in Limited Drag Radial.  As well as a bracket program for the family to get back to its roots...  

The name is for Sienna. After her death in 2022, Howe kept the family on the road and put her name on the car that leads the team. Horsepower for Kids grew out of that same decision — school assemblies, skilled trades, and kids in the pits when the cars come home to Crossville.

Three generations stand in the same shop. Jim Howe Sr. raced out of Detroit, owned Central Michigan Dragway and later I-40 Dragway in Crossville. Jim Howe Jr. is the owner, driver and tuner. Amanda races and runs the program. Jimmy pilots the team’s GTR in big-tire and Pro 275. Blayze is next.
